Septic System Design
Percolation Testing \ Soil Testing

In order to design a septic system the pertinent information regarding the soil where the septic system is to be located must be obtained. Information as to how fast the soil will absorb water and at what elevation the water table is located is determined by a soil evaluator. A soil evaluator is a licensed professional who can determine the quality of the soils in the area of the new septic system and insure that the system will be designed properly. New England Engineering has the professionals on staff with over 15 years of soil evaluation experience who can perform these services.

Septic System Inspection

Whenever a home is sold in the state of Massachusetts and it is serviced by a septic system, an inspection of the septic system must be performed. The inspection consists of opening the septic tank, located and opening the distribution box, and making observations as to the functioning of the system. If the system is working properly, it is considered a passing system and a report is generated by the inspector. This passing report is then given to the new buyer when the house is sold. New England Engineering Services Inc. has performed hundreds of septic system inspections. Our intimate knowledge as to how systems work and why they fail is an advantage to you as a seller in that we can spot problems which may look like a system in failure, but in actuality may only require a simple fix. In the event a system fails time is always spent with the property owner giving a detailed explanation as to why a system fails and actually pointing out what indicates that the system is failing. Advice and an explanation of the process for correcting the problem is also available.
